Denielle is a Certified Practising Speech Pathologist (CPSP) and has worked closely with children, teens and adults in clinical and community settings since 2019. She acquired a Bachelor’s degree in Speech and Hearing Language Sciences at Macquarie University and gained further accreditation completing her Master’s in Speech Language Pathology at University of Sydney.
Denielle’s passion within the disability sector has long extended prior to her studies, participating in various volunteer and community roles for several years. Denielle has since taken this passion as a speech pathologist and developed special interests in Autism, working closely with families and autistic children and adults 60+, deepening her understanding of diverse needs across the lifespan.
Denielle is dedicated to understanding the individual differences of her clients and aims to use these differences as their strengths. Denielle is a trained DIR Floortime practitioner and has completed specialised training in AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) including the use of eye gaze, switch, Key Word Sign and many more. She is experienced in working with various communication profiles that stem from diverse neurological and genetic profiles.
Denielle is driven to continue to work within the community, often collaborating with schools and within research projects. She is committed to improving her work in this field and remains a strong advocate for neurodiversity affirming practice and makes sure this remains at the core of her work.
