Early communication
Support for early communication may focus on interaction, regulation, engagement, play and communication that begins before words.
Speech
Therapy can support speech clarity, motor planning, intelligibility and patterns that affect how speech is understood.
Language and social communication
Support may target receptive and expressive language, conversation, social communication and communication confidence in everyday settings.
Play and literacy
Therapy can include play, interaction, narrative, sound awareness and the communication skills that support reading and learning.
Some people benefit from a mix of speech therapy, AAC support, feeding therapy and assessment. When those needs overlap, support is planned in a connected way rather than split into separate boxes.
That might be speech clarity, understanding, early communication, social communication or literacy. The initial enquiry does not need to be perfect.
